App Creator is the heart of map2app.
It is a web-platform designed to help you create your own mobile travel guides.
It’s fun, user-friendly, and even a bit addictive.
It will be the backbone of your Map2app experience and provide you with all the tools you need to create your app.

App creator is divided into three primary sections:
1. Items Section
The Items section is where you will input points of interest—places, events, and stories—adding any information or other content you feel is helpful for each item.
You’ll also create categories to organize your points of interest. The range of possible categories that you can create is endless: tourism sites, local haunts, nature walks, café’s, clubs. Whatever can be done in a given place, can be described in you travel guide.
Also, if you’d like to generate points of interest on the go, you can download our free app, Placegrabber. With Placegrabber, you won’t have to wait until you get home to input information about a place or event. You can create a point of interest for a place while you’re still there, and take pictures, video, and audio that can be transferred directly into the point.
2. Media Section
The media section is where you upload your own photos, video, and audio as supplemental material for your guide.
Once uploaded to the media section, you can move your content to any point of interest description or category that you like. It’s never more than a few-click process.
3. Apps Section
The apps section is where you set the tone and ambiance for your guide.
Here you can choose a splashscreen, determine colors and layout arrangements, write a short description, and then, when all is ready, publish to the world.
