In this 2 minutes video you will get a general understanding of how map2app works and you will see all the main features of the platform. Don’t worry, map2app is very easy to use and hundreds of people with no technical experience are building their travel app in this moment!

➊ CREATE YOUR CATEGORIES

When building a travel app the first thing you must do is defining the categories that will be shown in the home view of your app. A category may be called “Restaurants”, another “Monuments” but you can also make “Itineraries” and “RSS feeds”

➋ ADD IMAGES, AUDIOS & VIDEOS

Learn how to import pictures and other media to map2app. In order to create a great travel app you will need pictures of the places you want to show, nice icons for your sections and categories and, if you want, you can even add audios and videos to your travel guide.

➌ CREATE CONTENTS (PLACES, EVENTS, ETC.)

Adding a new place to your app is really simple. This tutorials shows you how to use all the fields that map2app provides for places, events, stories and web pages.

➍ IMPORT MULTIPLE PLACES AS .XLS OR .CSV FILES

Thanks to map2app’s IMPORT function you can easily import lists of places and stories in excel format. This will make the data entry process much faster. If you have a database of places, exporting a .csv file should be very easy and quick.

➎ ADD LANGUAGES TO YOUR APP

Map2app allows you to add as many languages as you want to your app. It also provides you with an automatic translator to help you translating your app to other languages. It relies on Google Translate APIs and the translation quality may vary but it i for sure a super fast way to test your app on a new mapket.

Adding pre-built itineraries to your app sometimes really makes the difference. This tutorial will show you how to create an “itinerary file” using Google Maps Engine and then how to import it to map2app and add itineraries to your app.
